Academy of Country Music Announces 54th ACM Awards to Air Live From Las Vegas on April 7

The Academy of Country Music announced that the 54th ACM Awards 2019 Live will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

Country Music’s Party of the Year is sure to included the genre’s biggest names, exciting performances and star-studded collaborations.

The Academy also announced the return of ACM Party for a Cause events, including ACM Stories, Songs & Stars, ACM Topgolf Tee-Off and the ACM Awards 2019 Live Stream Official After Party, taking place on April 5, April 6 and April 7, respectively. Reba McEntire will return to host the 2019 Academy of Country Music Awards on April 7. The country superstar announced that she would be resuming the role in a commercial that aired during the 2019 Grammy Awards on Sunday night (Feb. 10). Readers can press play above to watch the clip.

McEntire has hosted the ACM Awards several times in past years: She first hosted the show in 1986, with Mac Davis and John Schneider, and then returned in 1988, that time with Hank Williams Jr. as her co-host. In 1993, McEntire co-hosted the ACM Awards with Randy Owen and George Strait, and she and Alan Jackson co-hosted the ceremony in 1995. McEntire finally hosted the ACM Awards solo for the first time in 1999, and then every year from 2001 through 2010.
McEntire and Blake Shelton co-hosted the ACM Awards ceremony in 2011 and 2012, before McEntire bowed out to make room for Luke Bryan as Shelton's co-host. Then, last year, she took over the role again.
The 2019 ACM Awards will take place at Las Vegas, Nev.'s MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 7. The ceremony will begin at 8PM ET.
